Chemist/Product assessor Name
Chemist/Product assessor Company or trading Name

This information is maintained because Guild members are required to comply with Cosmetics legislation at EU level. The database is maintained on a PC in a lockable office and only the registrar has access. The database is not shared or sold and is used only for verification and internal communication purposes.

The Guild operates as a peer support network – any member can request a copy of the information held about them at any time free of charge. Requests must be received using the email registered at the time of joining and correspondence will only be accepted from that address. If a member no longer has access to that email they should write to us at our registered office address to confirm their new email address. A telephone number (landline, not mobile) should be provided so that we can contact you in the event of any queries.

Copies of product safety assessments, required at time of application to join, are not kept and are deleted from our systems once we have read and verified them.

Once joined you are expected to continue to comply with the regulations – we are a peer support network and don’t have the resources of a fee paying professional body to proactively monitor members. If you are subject to a successful complaint showing that you’ve been placing products on the market outside of the requirements of the regulations you would initially be suspended until you could show that you were in full compliance – a second successful complaint would see you banned for life
